Float Equipments

For petrochemical industry and similar other domains, different type of equipment are required for full flow and better functioning. Using the best one is one of the important decisions to make. Float equipments are among them that play a pivotal role in combination with cementing plugs, stage tools, bow centralizer, and scratchers as mechanical devices commonly used in running pipe and placing cement around casing.

Float equipments are commonly used on the lower section of the well casing to reduce the strain of the derrick during placement of the casing in the wellbore and to help guide the casing past ledges and sidewall carvings as the casing passes through deviated sections of the hole. They are the vital equipment to provide a backpressure valve to prevent re-entry of cement into the casing inside diameter ID after it is pumped into the casing/wellbore annulus.

Puyang Zhongshi supplies a range of float equipments including float collars, float shoes and guide shoes. These float equipments are used as backpress vales to prevent the cement from flowing back into casing, providing a landing point of cementing plug. Our float collars & shoes are standard types, non-rotating type, auto-filling type, stab-in type and so on. Float equipments are installed near the bottom of casing string, guiding the casing towards the center of the hole to minimize hitting rock ledges. Our float equipments are made of seamless steel pipe, process by CNC machines and then heat treated according to API 5CT standard. We supply all the gread steels like K55, J55, L80, N80, P110 with API threads.
